The “Brackett Heel “ building is a historically significant landmark of downtown Newburyport. In its day it was used as a shoe factory to produce heels. Now, thanks to Horan Developments, it is an impressive example of city and developer collaboration that created the reuse of a 30,000 SF factory into a mixed use, thriving community that includes three luxury Pent House condominiums featuring private roof decks and elevators, an Irish pub and several businesses on multiple floors. In the redevelopment, original 12X12 beams and brick were preserved. Indoor parking for six spaces as well as a glass lobby entry with an elevator and granite water wall were also created. The Brackett Heel building continues to be a revived landmark of Newburyport!
